Here are the top three stories today in Round Rock:

1. The Brushy Creek Regional Wastewater Treatment Plant is leaking into Brushy Creek, causing an increase of water and a "messy and stinky situation downstream." The City of Round Rock is working to fix the problem, which is believed to be a break in the pipeline along the creek. Officials warn people to stay out of the water due to high levels of E. coli, silt, decaying plant matter, and sewage. (KXAN)
2. This week, New York-based burger chain Shake Shack announced plans to open a location in Round Rock. Shake Shack has not announced the opening date or location yet, but a city site development permit for a location at 1402 N. I-35 has been filed. (Community Impact Newspaper)
3. IKKiCON, "the premiere anime and Japanese culture convention of Austin," has announced a three-year agreement with Kalahari Resorts & Conventions in Round Rock. According to the agreement, Kalahari Resorts will host IKKiCON events in 2023, 2024, and 2025. (Anime News Network)
