1. A local nonprofit, Round Rock Preservation, awarded the City of Round Rock the "Partner of the Year Award" for significantly helping the Historic Preservation Program. The city established annual funding through Hotel Occupancy Taxes (HOT), a one-time funding of $300,000 for the Round Rock Stagecoach Inn Project, and included the City’s Historic Preservation Plan into the City’s Comprehensive Plan. Joelle Jordan, a city staff member, received the "Public Service Appreciation Award" for her 19 years of dedicated service in the City’s Historic Preservation Office. (City of Round Rock)
2. A new Tesla service center located at 3500 Wadley Place is expected to be operational in March and will facilitate auto sales and service for Tesla vehicles. According to a Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation filing, the estimated cost of renovation was $1,026,000 for the 40,344-square-foot facility. (Community Impact Newspaper)
3. Haute Boutique and Mercantile on Main reopened on Feb. 12 at 503 E. Main St. Both businesses sell apparel, home goods, and city of Round Rock-branded items and are owned by Amy Kerley. (Community Impact Newspaper)
