Here are the top three stories in Round Rock today:
- The City of Round Rock has released damage estimates following assessments of the areas most impacted by last week's tornadoes. According to the preliminary assessments, there was more than an estimated $32 million in damage caused to 680 residential structures in Round Rock, including 13 that were destroyed and 93 that sustained major damage. If your home experienced damage during the tornadoes, the City encourages you to report it at damage.tdem.texas.gov and select "March Severe Weather." (City of Round Rock)
- As of today, Mar. 29, a resource center is now open to local tornado survivors at the Williamson County Expo Center in Taylor, just 25 minutes outside of Round Rock. In the Expo Hall, residents will find resources from agencies like Austin Disaster Relief and American Red Cross, including food, clothing, animal assistance, financial advisory, housing, debris removal, and other services for short- and long-term relief. The resource center will be open from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. today and tomorrow, and from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, Mar. 31. (Spectrum News)
