Educators Invited To PBS Professional Virtual Learning Event
Tools for AntiRacist Teaching: Deepening Your Understanding of Race & Racism highlights racial injustice in classroom environments.
ROUND ROCK, TX — Educators are invited to a one-hour professional learning virtual event to discuss racial injustice in classroom environments.
PBS Education's Tools for AntiRacist Teaching: Deepening Your Understanding of Race and Racism scheduled on Tuesday, July 21 from 11 a.m. - 12 p.m. is an opportunity for educators to learn ways to confront racial injustice in the classroom and explore topics related to the role and responsibilities educators have toward the collective understanding of race and racism.
Participants will have the opportunity to engage with a panel of speakers during the live Q&A session and discuss topics in a rich, deep and honest way to better understand the roots of systemic racism, and the impact of anti-Black racism in daily lives. A PBS certificate of attendance will be given for attendance for each one hour virtual professional learning events. The series will also feature the following episodes (all hours Central Standard Time):
