Friends Of The Library Hosts NASA Panel Discussion, Space Trivia
The Round Rock Public Library will hold its Friends of the Library meeting and host a panel discussion with former NASA and IBM employees.
ROUND ROCK, TX — If you're interested in trivia and love learning about local history, you won't want to miss To Round Rock and Beyond: Behind the Scenes at Mission Control, a look into how Round Rock locals were instrumental to the success of many of NASA's space missions. As part of its Friends of the Library General Meeting, the Round Rock Public Library invite the community to learn the ways the Friends' group helps the Library better serve their patrons.
After the meeting, guests are invited to stay and enjoy To Round Rock and Beyond: Behind the Scenes at Mission Control from 6:00 to 8:30 p.m on Tuesday, Nov. 12. There will be a panel discussion moderated by author Melissa Gaskill with current and former NASA and IBM employees who lent their expertise to several NASA missions. Panelists include Homer Ahr and Sadie Stanley, formerly with IBM; Brad Mudgett, Ph.D.; Research Psychologist, People Analytics; NASA Office of the Chief Human Capital Officer; and Lazarus Gonzales, retired NASA engineer.
Following the discussion, attendees are invited to enjoy space-related trivia and light refreshments. This event is FREE and open to the public.
