Fundraiser Aims To Provide Meals To Area Health Care Workers
Baylor Scott & White Foundation invite the community to support health care workers with meals from local food trucks and restaurants.
ROUND ROCK, TX —As the coronavirus public health crisis continues dominating communities across the country, the need to assist health care professionals as they work the front lines of the pandemic has never been more important. The Baylor Scott & White Central Texas Foundation invite the community to support health care workers with meals from local food trucks and restaurants.
Gifts will be used to purchase meals from local food trucks and restaurants and be distributed to health care workers at Baylor Scott & White Medical Centers. The goal fundraiser is to show gratitude to the front-line medical teams as they work to overcome the coronavirus, or COVID-19 health crisis, and as a way to support the local economy.
Health care workers are at the forefront of treating those who are sick or ailing, and include a range of professions, from doctors and nurses to aides, helpers, laboratory technicians, and medical waste handlers. In addition to their important work toward keeping people healthy and well, the roles of health care workers are vital to creating strong and thriving societies.
