🌱 New Sabey Data Centers + BCRUA Pipeline Construction

1. On Thursday, Feb. 24, Round Rock City Council and Round Rock Transportation and Economic Development Corporation approved an economic incentive agreement totaling $1 million to bring Sabey Data Centers to Round Rock. Sabey intends to demolish the building at 1300 Louis Henna Blvd., the old Sears Teleserv building, and build two new buildings. Interim President and CEO of the Round Rock Chamber, Jordan Robinson, said “Sabey’s newest data center campus will continue to strengthen Round Rock and Central Texas’ position as a global technology and innovation hub.” (Round Rock Texas)
2. The Round Rock City Council approved a $74,047.92 engineering services agreement with Walker Partners LLC to replace about 1,500 linear feet of pipe that failed in December 2020. The pipe is part of the Brushy Creek Regional Utility Authority (BCRUA), which is a partnership between Leander, Cedar Park, and Round Rock. The old pipe will supply water for BCRUA customers until the new pipeline is completed. (Community Impact Newspaper)
3. On Feb. 24, Dell Technologies, headquartered in Round Rock, reported a fiscal fourth-quarter profit of $2 million. The earnings came to $1.72 per share, a "net income of less than 1 cent on a per-share basis," and a $28 billion adjusted revenue for the period. Dell reported a profit of $5.56 billion for the year, or $7.02 per share, and a revenue of $101.23 billion. (The Tribune)
