Night Rider Family Bike Ride Offers Unique Summer Experience
The Round Rock Parks & Recreation Department will host the 8th annual event for families to enjoy area trails amid lighting effects.
ROUND ROCK, TX — Round Rock families will have a unique opportunity to enjoy the Round Rock trails under the Texas night sky with the 8th Annual Night Rider Family Bike Ride along the Brushy Creek Regional Trail System. Hosted by the Round Rock Parks and Recreation Department, the Night Rider Family Bike Ride begins at the Rabb House on Saturday, August 15 at 8:30 p.m. with cyclists invited to ride up to 6 miles and at their own pace.
There will be surprise lighting effects and glowing fun throughout the route to make for a magical experience. Participants are encouraged to use their glow-in-the dark bike gear and flashing lights, and bike helmets, a front bicycle light and rear reflector or bicycle light are required. - We ask that all participants wear a mask and respect social distancing during the event. This includes, packet pick up, bike safety check, staging and hanging out. Please bring your own filled water bottle with you, we will have a fill up stations if you need more water. Masks are optional while biking.
- We will have hand sanitizing stations available at the start of the course.
- This year, we will have a staggered start approximately every 2-5 minutes.
- While on the course, we encourage families to maintain their distance between other groups. There will be no stopping on the course, unless it is due to safety (broken bike, first aid). Should this occur, please pull off the trail and wait while one of our team members responds.
