Organizations Helping Neighbors In Need Amid Coronavirus

Community Organizations Active in Disaster (COAD) set up drop-off donation sites for non-medical items for vulnerable populations.

ROUND ROCK, TX — As the coronavirus pandemic continues to dominate everyday life, communities across the country have begun implementing local efforts to assist neighbors in need. For its part, Williamson County area non-profits and faith-based organization are working together to fill identified gap in services within the community. Community Organizations Active in Disaster (COAD) began setting up drop-off donation sites for non-medical items to be delivered to vulnerable populations and elderly residents.

The following are requested items in short supply and donations must be in original packaging:

  • Home manufactured cloth face coverings (A Mask Brigade is creating home manufactured cloth face coverings. To learn more about joining the Mask Brigade, click here.)
  • Hand sanitizer
  • Antibacterial soap
  • Disinfectant wipes
  • Latex free gloves
  • NEW thermometers
  • Eye protection goggles or glasses
  • Face shields
  • Protective Gowns
  • Adult and child diapers
  • Cleaning supplies
  • Dish soap Sponges
  • Laundry detergent
  • Shampoo Bath soap

Also accepted is a limited list of non-perishable food items (All items must be in a sealed package/ unopened, in date and no glass) including:

  • Cereal boxed
  • Dry rice
  • Dry beans
  • Mac-n-cheese boxes
  • Mash potato boxes
  • Canned tuna
  • Canned veggies
  • Canned chicken
  • Canned pasta
  • Spaghetti dry
  • Canned pasta sauce
  • Canned chili
  • Chicken broth (box or can)
  • Plastic jars of peanut butter
  • Baking mixes
  • Ketchup/Mayo/Mustard (plastic)
  • Baby food (pouched)
  • Baby formula (dry)
  • Juice boxes

Other items not listed above will not be accepted at this time. These items will be distributed to social service and non-profit organizations who will deliver them to Williamson County residents in need.

  • Grace Bible Church, 2100 Shell Road, Georgetown, Monday to Thursday from Noon-5 p.m.
  • Celebration Church, 601 Westinghouse Road, Georgetown, Monday to Friday from 10 a.m.- 2 p.m.
  • FBG Liberty Hill, 111 Holmes, Liberty Hill, Monday to Thursday from 1 p.m. - 5 p.m.
  • St. Phillips, 16321 Great Oaks Drive, Round Rock, Monday to Friday from 10 a.m.- 2 p.m.
  • Hill Country Bible Church, 12124 Ranch Rd 620 N, Austin, Monday to Thursday, 10 a.m. - 2 p.m.
