ROUND ROCK, TX — What's better than a great autumn run? How about a run that offers a daiquiri at the finish line? Runners and walkers are invited to the Daiquiri Dash 5K to enjoy a pleasant trail run and a chance to meet and mingle with other running enthusiasts. Race time begins at 2:45 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 19 and runners are invited to arrive when the gates open at 12:30 p.m to prepare and pick up their Race Day Packet at Old Settler's Park, 3300 E Palm Valley Blvd, Round Rock. Participants receive a FREE daiquiri after they cross the finish line, and all are welcome to stay after for a picnic or gather with other participants. There will be daiquiri's and beer for $5 before and after the race, and registered participants will receive a t-shirt, race bib, medal, and their FREE finish line daiquiri. Costumes are encouraged, and runners are permitted to wear tutus or anything else to stand out.
