Round Rock Celebrates Day Of The Dead With Procession, Food, Fun
The City of Round Rock will host its 8th annual Dia de los Muertos celebration and will feature plenty of activities for all ages.
ROUND ROCK, TX — Día de los Muertos (Day of the Dead), a traditional Mexican holiday to remember loved ones who have passed, is a celebration from Oct. 31 through Nov. 2 that showcases the color and vibrancy of Mexico's culture. Intended to be a festive occasion honoring life and death, Día de los Muertos is synonymous with celebration featuring food, songs, dance and pageantry.
The Round Rock Ballet Folklorico, along with Williamson County Hispanic Heritage Committee, City of Round Rock, Round Rock Arts, and Univision invite the community to the eighth annual Dia de los Muertos Procession and Festival on Saturday, Nov. 2 from 2 p.m. - 10 p.m. The family-friendly celebration will feature a traditional Día de los Muertos procession, arts and crafts, food, and plenty of kid-friendly activities.
Held at Centennial Plaza located at 301 W. Bagdad, the procession will kick off at 5 p.m. beginning at C.D. Fulkes Middle School before arriving at Centennial Plaza at 5:15 p.m. For more information, visit the City of Round Rock website. For more events, visit the Round Rock Patch Events Calendar.
