Round Rock Fire Department Collects Fans For Neighbors In Need

The community is invited to drop off new boxed fans at RRFD stations across the city to help area residents amid record setting heat.

ROUND ROCK, TX — With record temperatures registering across Texas this summer, helping neighbors struggling amid soaring temperatures becomes a top priority for communities across the state. For its part, the Round Rock Fire Department asks the community to help neighbors in need and donate fans through August 31.

New boxed fans are needed and may be dropped off at fire stations across Round Rock including:

  • Central Fire Station 1 (203 Commerce Blvd.)
  • Round Rock Fire Station 2 (200. W. Bagdad Ave.)
  • Round Rock Fire Station 4 (1301 Double Creek Drive)
  • Round Rock Fire Station 5 (350 Deepwood Drive)
  • Round Rock Fire Station 7 (2811 Oakmond Blvd.)
  • Round Rock Fire Station 8 (1612 Red Bud Lane)

The Community Risk Reduction Program offers help to seniors, adults with disabilities and families in need. The program's efforts are designed to help improve quality of life for residents by identifying and preventing fire and life safety risks before they occur.
