Round Rock Observes May As National Preservation Month
Residents are invited to learn about the City's rich history and submit historical photos and nominate Local Legends.

ROUND ROCK, TX —The City of Round Rock invites the community to observe May as National Preservation Month and share historic photos and nominate Local Legends to celebrate Round Rock's past. National Preservation Month spotlights preservation programs and heritage tourism by local preservation and civic organizations. As a way to honor the City's rich history, the community can share information via the social media channels.
Participation is a great way to learn and share more about Round Rock's history and strengthen community ties. Learn more about Round Rock’s unique history and historic places at roundrocktexas.gov/historicpreservation. Nominations for Local Legends will also be held for people who have contributed a positive and lasting impact shaping Round Rock to what it is today. Nominations for the 2020 awards are due May 29. Selection criteria, nomination form and instructions are available at roundrocktexas.gov/locallegends.
