Round Rock PD Assists Area Seniors Through Free Programs

Round Rock seniors and individuals with mobility or vision impairment benefit from free programs and services offered through RRPD.

ROUND ROCK, TX — The Round Rock Police Department invites seniors from the community to learn about the services and programs offered to area residents. Programs and services are offered free of charge and available through registration.

The Telephone Assurance Program is designed for registered seniors who may be homebound or do not have family living within proximity. RRPD volunteers make daily wellness calls to local seniors to ensure their health and well-being. There is no charge for using the program, and area residents may register by email or by phone at 512-218-5520 and reaching Volunteer Coordinator Abigail Lewing.

RRPD also makes Wide Angle Door Viewers available FREE of charge to Round Rock residents and are ideal for the elderly and/or mobility impaired. Wide angle door viewers allow homeowners to gain a 180-degree color view outside their door. Wide angle viewers remove the difficulty of smaller viewing holes and help with viewers height variations. For additional information or to register for this FREE program/service, please contact Volunteer Coordinator Abigail Lewing via email or at 512-218-5520.
