Seminar Offers Education On Beekeeping Practices

Courses to choose from range from beginner to advanced learning and offer valuable insight on sustainable beekeeping practices.

ROUND ROCK, TX — The Austin Beekeepers Association, educating people of all experience in sustainable bee husbandry and providing funding for the Texas A&M Honey Bee Lab, TBA Honey Queens Program and the Texas Master Beekeepers Program, will host a day-long seminar offering five different educational presentations running concurrently throughout the day.

The Austin Area Beekeeping Seminar 2020 will include a full-day track of beginner classes for people with little or no experience keeping bees, but who are interested in learning a foundation of beekeeping essentials. Also included, (28) 50-minute classes for intermediate and advanced beekeepers to choose from, with non-beginner classes such as:

  • The Management of Honey Crystallization-Tara Chapman

Proceeds from this event will be used to promote sustainable beekeeping practices and lend support to the Texas A&M Honey Bee Lab, TBA Honey Queens Program, Texas Master Beekeepers Program. Registration begins at 8 a.m., and the first class begins promptly at 9 a.m.
