Virtual Event Discusses Health Insurance Options Amid COVID-19
AustinUP will host a virtual information session for older adults to explore health insurance options to help during the pandemic.
ROUND ROCK, TX — AustinUP, a community alliance committed to making Central Texas a place where older adults live full, engaged lives, and working to prioritize the unmet needs of the Central Texas aging population, tap the assets of older adults to improve our community, and embrace innovation and creativity in the pursuit of an age-friendly culture, will host Health Insurance Options for the COVID-19 Economy. The virtual event scheduled Tuesday, July 14 from 2 p.m. - 3 p.m. will provide information and resources for older job seekers to help during the pandemic and into the future.
The free online event led by licensed insurance agent and AustinUP business member Randy Hsi with Health Markets will offer options on insuring yourself rather than relying on the employer amid the current business climate of the COVID-19 economy. The information session will evaluate how to get insurance through the Marketplace or Medicare, and replace other insurance (e.g., life insurance) typically offered through employers.
