Virtual Event Features #BlackLivesMatter Co-Creator

One World Ideas X Action discusses equality and racial justice featuring the co-creator of #BlackLivesMatter Alicia Garza.

ROUND ROCK, TX — The community is invited to an evening virtual discussion on relevant topics surrounding equality and racial justice with One World Ideas x Action on Thursday, June 4 at 7 p.m. CDT. One World editor-in-chief Chris Jackson and #BlackLivesMatter co-creator Alicia Garza will be featured in the Random House virtual event via Zoom discussing the importance of resistance and resilience, and why their work is centered on a vision of collective humanity.

The virtual event is held in partnership with Color Of Change, the nation's largest online racial justice organization. The organization strives to help people respond effectively to injustice within the world around us. As a national online force driven by 1.7 million members, it moves decision-makers in corporations and government to create a more human and less hostile world for Black people in America.

Alicia Garza is innovator, strategist, organizer, and is the Principal at the Black Futures Lab, co-creator of #BlackLivesMatter and the Black Lives Matter Global Network, Strategy & Partnerships Director at the National Domestic Works Association, co-founder at Supermajority, host of the Lady Don’t Take No podcast, and author of the forthcoming book The Purpose of Power(out in October 2020).
