Wilco Non-Profit Raises Money For Professional Development

ROUND ROCK, TX — Ladders for Leaders, providing paid summer internship opportunities to Williamson County students between the ages of 16-18, will host a fundraising effort with its family-friendly Ladders for Leaders Dog Parade on Sunday, Oct. 20 beginning at 1 p.m. Proceeds from the event will be used to give students the unique opportunity to gain professional experience and develop a skills set, while exploring their individual interests and discover new ones through job readiness training, paid summer internships, and professional network building.

The Ladders for Leaders Dog Parade will feature a costume contest, where trophies will be given in categories such as: Best Themed Float, Best Original Costume, Friendliest, Pet/Owner Lookalike, and Top Dog. Only dogs permitted to participate and must be leashed or in pet carriers throughout the event. Non-motorized "floats" (wagons, etc.) are welcome. Each category will be divided to include Small Dogs, Medium Dogs, and Large Dogs and participants get the most "votes" for their dog through monetary donations. Take your dog in costume or a photo of your dog to friends, neighbors, relatives, sports team members, etc. and ask them to make donations to Ladders for Leaders TX as votes for dogs. The dog raising the most money will be named the winner, and the dog owner will receive a trophy.

Donations may be given to Ladders for Leaders at the start of the event on October 20th or donated online using the following link HERE. Registration for the Dog Parade will remain open on Active.com thru October 20, 2019 and at the event location. Dog Parade REGISTRATION will be available up until 2:00 p.m. on event day.
