WilCo Sheriff's Office Initiates Pilot Program
The WilCo Wellness Check Program checks in on individuals vulnerable to coronavirus when loved ones aren't able to check in for themselves.
ROUND ROCK, TX — In their ongoing effort to keep communities safe amid the coronavirus pandemic, the Williamson County Sheriff's Office has launched its Wilco Wellness Check pilot program for family members, friends, acquaintances and/or any person who relies on another for support to be checked on during this public health crisis.
The WCSO has created an email for community members needing a deputy to try to make contact with loved ones when the need arises. The program designed for residents vulnerable to coronavirus either due to age or underlying health issues in not a replacement for 911 calls, and those in need of emergency assistance are encouraged to call 911 if needed.
The program is offered only to those residing within jurisdiction of the Williamson County Sheriff's office, and not available within city limits. The program is available Monday through Friday and answered based on availability of deputies. For those needing more than one check, a separate and new email must be generated. To email contact elderlyconcern@wilco.org with an exact address of person(s) being checked. For more click HERE.
