Youth Code Jam Offers K-12 Students Hands-On Learning

The coding event is open to kids in grades K-1to learn computing programs in a relaxed, fun setting alongside friends and family..

ROUND ROCK, TX —Youth Code Jam will host an afternoon of innovative, impactful and family-focused learning with its Youth Code Jam event, offering students K-12 a chance to learn hands-on computing programs. The free, semi-unstructured, individualized-learning, creativity-inspired experience that features multiple creative coding stations to gain an understanding for the fundamentals of coding.

Youth Code Jam is open to all kids, with no experience required. Students will be free to choose where they would like to devote their time, giving children the chance to work on projects they find personally interesting. Self-directed learning is encouraged at the event, and each station will have volunteer instructors and assistances to help guide students in using the tools, and to support the students as they think creatively and begin coding.

Adults must remain with their child through the duration of the event, as it is a collaborative experience intended for families to connect around digital technology. For more click HERE.
