New Cardiopulmonary Rehabilitation & Secondary Prevention Program to help individuals with long COVID symptoms and other lung issues

Ascension Seton Edgar B. Davis recently announced a new new Cardiopulmonary Rehabilitation & Secondary Prevention Program, which includes a new facility to help patients in their rehabilitation journey.

The facility will employ an exercise physiologist, nurse and respiratory therapist who will help patients with post-cardiac surgery or other lung issues, such as those still affected by long COVID symptoms. The new facility features treadmills, free weights, recumbent bikes, ergometers and other items to facilitate physical therapy and improve lung functioning.

The new program will also include an educational component, with instruction on exercise, stress management, smoking cessation, how to read nutritional labels and make food choices and how to better manage diabetes and other health issues.
