Austin ISD School Bus Involved In Early Morning South Austin Wreck

SOUTH AUSTIN, TX — An Austin ISD school bus was involved in an accident on Thursday morning, but no injuries resulted, police said.

Austin Police Department Lt. Brian Gretzner told the Austin American-Statesman the wreck occurred along the 9000 block of South Interstate 35 near Slaughter Lane at around 6:20 a.m. Two students were on the bus at the time of the crash, but neither was injured, according to the report.

The vehicle drivers involved reportedly pulled into a nearby parking lot, averting traffic delays as a result.
