Austin Is Named the Third Drunkest City in Texas

Austin is known for it’s great party scene. And the city is used to being ranked number one on all kinds of lists.

But this time the capital city has been ranked as the third drunkest city in Texas by RoadSnacks.net.

The site, which says it uses “data to create bite-sized snacks of shareable information about places and cities across the country,” came up with the ranking based on the number of places to drink and how often people are talking about drinking, which here in Austin is a lot.

“Plus, we thought why not add in a stereotype? Studies have indicated that when one or both partners in a marriage are alcoholics, that couple is three times more likely to divorce,” the site said.

So what’s the drunkest city in Texas? That honor goes to Galveston.
