Check Out This Huge Outdoor Art Installation in South Austin on Sept. 19
It's part of the city's TEMPO program to promote public art.

There will be about two dozen huge inflatable white spheres at the Mary Moore Searight Metropolitan Park on Saturday, Sept. 19 as part of the TEMPO projectβs one-day installations throughout the city this fall.
Juan Deleonβs project βOmissionβ will feature 10-foot-high inflatable white spheres arranged in various configurations. The TEMPO program βallows artists to explore a range of themes suitable for the outdoor environment and provides the opportunity for innovative, thought-provoking artwork that impacts the way people experience their environment.β
Deleon, who was born in the Philippines and lives in East Texas, is a graduate of the University of Houston. He says his art is about βcreating elements that allude to the relationship between people, scale, volume weight, mass and space.β
