Food Network Is Holding Auditions in South Austin for 'All Star Academy'

Are you a talented home cook? Here's your chance to compete for a $50,000 prize.

The Food Network is holding auditions for it’s popular cooking competition show, “All Star Academy” in South Austin this weekend.

The auditions will take place at The Culinary Factory on 3913 Todd Lane on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

“Once again, our top celebrity chefs are scouring the nation in search of the best home cooks out there. You’ve watched them on TV, bought their cookbooks, and tested out their recipes at home. This is your chance to be mentored by a culinary icon. Outlast your competitors in this high-stakes cooking competition, and you could go home with bragging rights and $50,000!” the network said on its website.

The competition is for ameteur cooks only. You must have never graduated from a culinary school or worked extensively in a professional kitchen.

If you’re selected for the show, you will get the opportunity to be mentored by top Food Network chefs Alex Guarnaschelli, Bobby Flay, Curtis Stone and Michael Symon.
