Google Fiber Expands Into More South, East Austin Neighborhoods

Signups for the new service beginning for hose living along Brodie Lane, Manchaca Road and Interstate 35 south of Slaughter Lane.

SOUTH AUSTIN, TX — Google Fiber has expanded into South Austin, and will be taking more signups for its service starting Tuesday, according to reports.

Officials are alerting South Austin residents living along Brodie Lane, Manchaca Road and Interstate 35 south of Slaughter Lane they are now able to sign up for the service. The areas have been added to the South Austin service area. Those signing up before the end of October will be priorities for installation, officials said.

Those living in areas already being served by Google Fiber in East Austin and William Cannon also can sign up for the fast Internet and television service promising speeds of up to 1,ooo Mbps. To check to see whether you're eligible for service via an address, click here.
