Huge Mailbox for 3 Dozen Homeowners Is Stolen in South Austin

A giant mailbox that serves about three dozen homes off Stassney Lane has gone missing, KVUE reported on Thursday.

Stunned residents say they believe it was stolen sometime between late Monday night and Tuesday morning.

United States Postal Inspector Michael Sullivan tells KVUE that he thinks it was the work of more than one person.

“One person cannot just pick one up and put it in the back of their car,” said Sullivan, who believes it was the work of at least two people.
