Man Arrested for Stalking Women in South Austin

Austin Police are urging any other victims to come forward.

A 65-year-old man was arrested for stalking women on Oltorf Street in South Austin.

Mark Lauritzen “is accused of approaching women waiting at bus stops or walking alone, offering them rides. The subject persisted even though rejected, to include following the women after boarding the bus or walking away,” police said.

Police released a picture [above] of Lauritzen’s car, a blue, older model Honda. They did not release a photo, but described him as 5’11, about 225 lbs with blondish-graying hair.

Police said they could be other victims and encouraged them to come forward by calling Domestic Violence Detective Seago at 512-974-5888.
