P.Terry's Founders Plan 'Taco Ranch' In Southwest Austin
New eatery at MoPac Boulevard and U.S. 290 will focus on quality ingredients and tortillas made from scratch, founders vowed.
SOUTH AUSTIN, TX — The founders of the popular burger joint chain P.Terry's are planing a similar concept but focused on tacos, according to a published report
P.Terry's founders Patrick and Kathy Terry plan to open Taco Ranch in southwest Austin later this year at what used to be a Burger King at MoPac Boulevard and U.S. 290 (5033 U.S. 290 West), the Austin360 blog reported.
The menu's still being finalized, but the template is established. The team will build on the success of P.Terry's and use the same tactics at their new venture: quality, humanely raised meats, organic eggs, value and convenience, the business partners told the blog.

Moreover, everything at the eatery will be made from scratch, including the flour and corn tortillas used, salsas, guacamole and queso, according to the blog.
In the piece, Patrick Terry took a critical swipe at some taco stand operators who utilize store-bought tortillas for their offerings yet retain a significant price mark-up on their culinary wares. He vowed this wouldn't be the case at Taco Ranch, where a higher work ethic would be practiced, he told the blog.

The design services of Michael Hsu were retained to design the new place, which will contain a dining room, patio and drive-thru, according to the blog. But the spot won't bear any resemblance to its former Burger King iteration, the partners assured.
Plans call for the new spot to offer breakfast, lunch, dinner and late-night dining.
