Pedestrian In South Austin Hit-and-Run Dies From His Injuries
The victim is described as a 33-year-old male.

A pedestrian injured in a South Austin hit-and-run last month has died from his injuries.
On Oct. 14, the pedestrian - identified as a 33-year-old male - was struck by a silver 2008 Yamaha motorcycle traveling westbound on West Oltorf Street. A red 2009 Mitsubishi Lancer that was also traveling westbound ran over the pedestrian and fled the scene.

Adrian John Gonzalez, 26, the driver of the Mitsubishi, was found nearby and arrested for DWI and failure to stop and render aid, according to a press release from the APD.

The pedestrian was taken to University Medical Center Brackenridge. He died from his injuries on the morning of Friday, Oct. 30.
According to police, this is the 75th fatal traffic crash in Austin and the 83rd fatality in 2015.
