AUSTIN, TEXAS β€” Traffic will be reduced to one lane in each direction on Slaughter Lane at MoPac this weekend, as crews pave the newly constructed overpass, officials said Wednesday.

The work will kick off weather permitting. Traffic turning left will have a dedicated turn bay during this work, with lanes reduced starting at 9 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 28 until 5 a.m. on Monday, Oct. 1. Police officers will be at the site for the duration of this work to help direct traffic through the intersection.

On Monday morning, Oct. 1, Slaughter Lane traffic at MoPac will be restored to two lanes in each direction with left-turn lanes, officials said. This configuration will remain in place until the intersection is converted into a Diverging Diamond Intersection. We anticipate this work will be completed by mid-January 2019.
