South Austin Bar, Café​ Cosmic Coffee + Beer Garden Expands Menu

SOUTH AUSTIN, TX — South Austin bar and café Cosmic Coffee + Beer Garden announced a recently expanded menu that includes summer-inspired cocktails and iced coffees designed to beat the sweltering Texas heat.

For a limited run, the menu will feature several drinks — both boozy and non-alcoholic — augmenting the coffee offerings of their beverage program, officials said.

“We had a lot of fun creating an enhanced cocktail menu for summer,” Paul Oveisi, Cosmic Coffee + Beer Garden co-owner, said. “It was particularly important that we show just how diverse coffee can be, especially when served cold. We developed, workshopped, and sampled a number of ideas until we were wildly over-caffeinated and slightly boozy, and we’re excited to now add our favorites to the menu. These are drinks are built to be enjoyed outside.”

Cosmic Coffee + Beer Garden’s new summer cocktail and coffee drinks include:

• Jolene: Bonded bourbon with peach, ginger, Earl Grey tea, and mint. Available as a single drink or to share.
• Frozen El Diablo: Plata tequila with ginger, loganberry, and lime.
• Seasonal Summer Cocktail: Rotating cocktails debuting with the Watermelon Spritz made with organic Gin, Aperol, fresh watermelon juice, lemon juice and prosecco.
• Cosmic Comet: Iced espresso + Cuban brew with hazelnut, cream, condensed milk, and chocolate.
• Draft Oatmilk Latte: Iced with a touch of honey.
• Cosmic Cold Brew: Smooth, rich, and extra-strength cold brew available as iced regular or creamy nitro.
• Shakerato: Double shot of espresso + a teaspoon of raw sugar shaken with ice until cold and frothy. Add a half-shot of Zucca Amaro, limoncello, Cosmic Irish cream, or Vida Mezcal for a boozy kick.
• French Press: Rotating small batch offerings from Freebean roastery.

“With the expansion of our cold drink menu, a brand new outdoor mister system, a rainwater-fed waterfall garden, and the recent addition of four 25+ year old shade oak trees, we’re excited to present Cosmic as the destination for lazy summer lounging and connecting with friends over drinks and the best food trailers in town.”

In related cocktail news, Cosmic recently rolled out reverse happy hour specials from Sunday through Thursday, 9 p.m. until close. Daily rotating specials include:
