South Austin Grocery Store Launches Online Delivery

Customers will have items delivered to their home in an hour or more.

Wheatsville Food Co-op, the only food retail cooperative in the state, is joining the online grocery store delivery business with Instacart, according to their website.

The Austin grocery outlet is partnering with the fastest online grocery business and is expected to announce the new initiative on Thursday.

“Wheatsville works hard to be the friendliest store in town, and to us, Instacart’s customer-friendly grocery delivery service seemed like a great fit,” Dan Gillotte, general manager of Wheatsville Food Co-Op, said in a statement to the Statesmen. “Shopping online has become a great way for our customers to save time but still enjoy all their favorite foods. From farmers market meat and veggies to our Bakehouse bread and super-popular Popcorn Tofu - folks can have it all delivered right to their doorstep.”
