Meow Is The Time To Plan On Attending Austin POP Cats Convention

AUSTIN, TX — The time is meow to start planning to attend POP Cats — the state's first convention celebrating all things cats and pop culture scheduled later this weekend in Austin.

Don't paws to think about it! The event scheduled from Aug. 25-26 at the Palmer Events Center, 900 Barton Springs Rd., is expected to draw some 2,000 attendees with dozens of adoptable cats onsite yearning for forever homes. The "immersive feline universe," as organizers are calling the event, will offer a site for cat lovers to shop, learn, adopt, show off their "cattitude" and connect with other members of the passionate cat community.

Presented by Austin-based natural pet food brand Nulo, POP Cats 2018 will feature more than 80 cat-centric vendors, eight cat welfare organizations and a dynamic roster of cat influencers and speakers – all joining together to celebrate the magnificence of cats and the humans that love them in a fun, festive environment, organizers described. A portion of the proceeds will benefit attending cat welfare organizations.

This is a BYOC (bring-your-own-cat, don't you know) event for those inclined to bring along their fur babies. There will be custom cat playgrounds, live cat tattoos, musical performances by iAmMoshow the Cat Rapper, live DJ, cat art and homemade kitty products from around the world to delight felines and humans alike.
