Traffic Alert: Wreck Closes 2 Westbound U.S. 290 Lanes
Cause of crash unknown, but transportation officials are now more concerned about safety in its wake: 'Stay right until it clears.'

SOUTH AUSTIN, TEXAS — A pair of westbound U.S. 290 lanes have been closed near northbound Loop 260 following a traffic crash, transportation officials said late Monday morning.
Via Twitter, Texas Department of Transportation officials urged motorists to “Stay right until it clears." Drivers should, therefore, exercise caution on approach, staying to the right to avoid exacerbating the scene of the wreck.
This is a developing story. It's unclear if injuries resulted from the wreck. Patch will update when more details are known, including the all-clear from officials.
