Special Worldwide Campaign Brings Positive Message to the Spring Community

Spring will be one of the thousands of communities around the globe that will receive a powerful message of hope this November as Jehovahβs Witnesses embark upon a special campaign focusing attention on the Bibleβs hope for a better world.
The goal of the campaign is to distribute a special edition of The Watchtower magazine containing the cover series, βA Better World Is Near.β More than 36 million printed copies of the magazine are expected to be distributed in some 230 languages to communities in 240 lands around the globe. In addition, the digital publication is available on various platforms in nearly 400 languages.
βPeople are longing to hear a positive message, and this is the best news possible,β said Robert Hendriks, U.S. spokesman for Jehovahβs Witnesses. βA better world is not just a dream, itβs inevitable. In fact, it is the central theme of the entire Bible.β

The magazine addresses the age-old βdoomsdayβ question βIs this world going to end?β with a comforting answer that may surprise many readers. While various religions have predicted the βend of the world,β the magazine reveals the Bibleβs clear message: The earth is here forever and will never end! However, the magazine also explains the powerful truth that wickedness will soon be gone, quoting the Bible book of Psalms where it promises that the βlawless oneβ will be no more. (Psalm 37:10, Rotherham translation)
This positive message has been the hope of millions around the world who have prayed for βGodβs Kingdom to come,β a familiar refrain of many Christians taught by Jesus in what some refer to as the Lordβs Prayer.

Greater Houston area resident Jermane Mayberry grew up playing football. He not only loved the game but also excelled at it β so much so that he was drafted to the professional league. While he was making a name for himself, his wife was sharing with him the Bibleβs promises for a better future.
Mayberry began to feel torn. βWith football, you have to give it your all, and your schedule revolves around your job,β he explained. Though he loved football, he soon realized that he loved what he was learning from the Bible even more.
Eventually, Mayberry left his career. βLearning about the Kingdom is so much more valuable than anything I wouldβve gained by pursuing sports," he said. βThose things are fleeting and unstable.β He now feels his life is more meaningful, and having a hope for the future has given him βpeace of mind and real security for the future.β
