Spring β€” August 18, 2021 β€” As his nation is conquered and his family divided, Daniel faces intensifying pressure to abandon his convictions. Will his faith survive? Millions around the world will watch the drama unfold in the two-part feature film β€œDaniel: A Lifetime of Faith” being presented at the 2021 β€œPowerful by Faith!” Convention of Jehovah’s Witnesses.

The historical Bible film illustrates how faith can empower individuals to face and endure life’s challenges with courage. Bible dramas have been a highlight of the annual conventions of Jehovah’s Witness for many decades. This year is no different, even as the organization shifted to a virtual format. (See video.)

β€œI have wonderful and happy memories of watching these dramas with our now-grown children and seeing the excitement on their young faces,” explained Sue Conner. β€œI have learned so much from each drama about the Bible characters, their lives, and their faith. I find the lessons powerful, stirring, and thought-provoking, and they inspire me to try to imitate their example.I’m beyond excited to view the two-part film β€˜Daniel: A Lifetime of Faith.’”

The β€œPowerful by Faith!” Convention is being delivered over virtual platforms in over 500 languages to households in 240 lands during July and August 2021. For Jehovah’s Witnesses who have held in-person events annually in stadiums, arenas, convention centers, and theaters around the world since 1897, the pandemic has brought a pause to a century-old tradition.

The continued risk of bringing thousands of people together in cities across the globe prompted the world’s largest convention organization to cancel nearly 6,000 events worldwide and opt for a virtual program for the second consecutive year. The move, however, has not curbed the enthusiasm for the annual convention which is expected to unite 15-20 million people globally.
