Murder Suspect Out On Bond Arrested In Spring
The man was apprehended after Harris County authorities found a vehicle suspected to be used in the robbery of a Walgreens in Spring.
SPRING, TX β A man charged with murder who violated the conditions of his bond was apprehended by the Harris County Precinct 4 Constable's Office on Tuesday.
Roderick Coffman, 23, of Houston was arrested at the Flying J at 15919 North Freeway in Spring after officers found a vehicle suspected to be involved in a robbery approximately four miles away at the Walgreens at the corner of Cypresswood Drive and North Freeway, according to authorities. He is charged with robbery and violation of his bond.
Coffman was charged with murder in the slaying of Russell Hamm on May 15, 2018, according to court documents, and his case in the 208th District Court in Harris County has been reset several times in the three years since.

Court documents show Coffman was released on $150,000 bond on June 8, and he failed to appear for a Sept. 2 court date. Coffman also is accused of violating curfew and electronic monitoring rules and failed to submit to a drug test as terms of his bond.
