Spring ISD Announces Summer School Breakfast And Lunch Program

HOUSTON, TX — Children under the age of 18 who live in the Spring area will have access to free breakfast and lunch through the Spring Independent School District’s Summer Feeding Program.

The program will operate Monday through Thursday beginning Tuesday, June 5 at 13 campuses across the district.

Spring ISD will be closed on Fridays June 15 through Aug. 6 and on July 4 to observe Independence Day.

Children age 18 and under are eligible and do not have to be enrolled in summer school or show proof of income to receive a free meal at the participating schools.

Adults may also participate by purchasing breakfast for $1.50 and lunch for $3.50 each.

The summer feeding program is funded by the U.S. Department of Agriculture and all meals are based on national nutrition standards to ensure children receive the appropriate nutrients to maintain a balanced diet.
