SPRING, TX β€” Voters in the Spring-Tomball area approved two of five propositions in Tomball ISD, and three incumbents on the Klein ISD Board of Trustees won re-election Tuesday.

Tomball ISD voters in favor of nearly $500 million in bonds to fund school buildings and school bus purchases as well as improvements to the district's technology systems and infrastructure. Measures for athletics and recreational facilities and a high school natatorium failed.

Klein ISD Board President Chris Todd and incumbents Doug James and Ronnie Anderson won their seats over challengers Natalie Pilkinton, Matt Skaggs and Kristin Cobb, respectively. Dustin Creager won with a plurality of the vote in a six-candidate race for the Position 4 seat. There was no incumbent in that race. Creager received 7,934 votes with runner-up Denise Morrison receiving 4,441.

Proposition A β€” The issuance of $466,640,000 school building bonds for building maintenance, land purchase for new buildings and school bus purchases. Property tax increase.

  • For: 4,939 (4,541 Harris, 398 Montgomery)
  • Against: 3,694 (3,260 Harris, 434 Montgomery)

Proposition B β€” The issuance of $27,820,000 school building bonds for new technology systems, technology infrastructure and instructional technology. Property tax increase.

  • For: 4,934 (4,546 Harris, 388 Montgomery)
  • Against: 3,659 (3,216 Harris, 443 Montgomery)

Proposition C β€” The issuance of $8,100,000 school building bonds for athletic stadium facilities in the district, including safety netting and seating. Property tax increase.

  • For: 4,092 (3,765 Harris, 327 Montgomery)
  • Against: 4,495 (3,992 Harris, 503 Montgomery)

Proposition D β€” The issuance of $17,200,000 school building bonds for a high school natatorium. Property tax increase.

  • For: 3,969 (3,655 Harris, 314 Montgomery)
  • Against: 4,599 (4,087 Harris, 512 Montgomery)

Proposition E β€” The issuance of $47,800,000 school building bonds for recreational facilities at each high school in the district. Property tax increase.
