UHD’s Center for Public Deliberation, Student Government Association and Texas Rising @ UHD are inviting the University Community to the virtual primary election public deliberation, “Youth and Opportunity: What Should We Do for Future Generations to Thrive?, from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m., Wednesday, Feb. 23.
This event will feature primary election candidate running for offices as well as UHD alumni, students, faculty, staff, faculty, and external community. Participants will join small, interactive, student-facilitated breakout discussion groups to consider what can be done for future generations to thrive via three possible approaches: equip people to success, give everyone a fair chance and focus on economic security. In preparation, it is encouraged to read this issue guide about the three approaches.
