Future Thornton “Thundercats” will be pleased to know that construction is on schedule. Construction crews are currently installing drywall, windows, plumbing, and mechanical and electrical material, as well as painting interior walls.

In December 2016, FBISD’s Board of Trustees approved the school’s name – Ronald Thornton Middle School – in honor of Ronald Thornton, an inspirational Willowridge High School band director.
