Find out what schools in Conroe, Spring, Klein, and Tomball will be doing to kick off the 2019-2020 school year.
CONROE, TX β Summer vacation is winding down for kids in the Greater Houston area with many districts starting classes the second week of August. Students who live in Conroe ISD will officially start classes on Aug. 14, according to the district website.
Conroe ISD has an online list of resources for parents who have questions about registration, campus information, bus routes and schedules, information on campus transfers, school lunch prices, and school supply lists for elementary school, middle school, and junior high schools.
Tomball ISD will host a family enrollment night on Aug. 1 from 1 to 7 p.m. at Tomball Junior High and Willow Wood Junior High. This event has been designed to assist new families to Tomball ISD that are needing to enroll multiple children into TISD schools as well as parents/guardians who need to enroll students after regular working hours, for the 2019-2020 school year. The event is especially designed for families who will be new to the district for 2019-20, although Spring ISD Parent Engagement Director Tranita Carroll emphasized that all students and their families are welcome. βThis is just a great opportunity for our families to come and meet campus and district employees and learn what we have to offer in our district and in our community,β Carroll said.
In a change for this yearβs event, new district parents are being asked to complete the online registration process beforehand. Supporting documents β including birth certificates, proof of residency in Spring ISD and student immunization records β may be submitted at the expo, but the main registration process will move online, a first this year as the district works to streamline and simplify the registration process for its families.
Students in need of immunizations should bring a copy of their current immunization record to make sure they get the shots they need. For more information about the Back to School Expo, contact Carroll at 281-891-6019 or tcarroll@springisd.org.
