Black Friday Shoppers Camp Out At Best Buy For Cool Holiday Deals

Sydney Armstrong and Sherrel Pratt have made it a habit to miss Thanksgiving dinner to camp for Black Friday deals

THE WOODLANDS, TEXAS — Thanksgiving is still days away, and the first of the Black Friday shoppers are already lining up in The Woodlands. Those few who look to score some sweet yuletide deals started camping outside the Best Buy store on Monday and won't be around when their families carve up that Thanksgiving bird.

That is certainly the case for Sydney Armstrong and Sherrel Pratt who’ve been camping out for Black Friday for a solid 13 years, according to a KTRK report.

This year, the prospect of scoring a laptop for less than $100 has drawn the happy holiday campers to don their sweaters and brave the off and on chilly temperatures.

"We're the jerks in the family because we don't show up for Thanksgiving dinner," Pratt told KTRK.

Black Friday shopping begins at 5 p.m. Thursday.
