Candidate Filing Underway For The Woodlands Township Board Race
There are three seats on The Woodlands Township Board that could be up for grabs on Nov. 5.
THE WOODLANDS, TX β Election season is coming up fast, and if you have a desire to serve on The Woodlands Township Board of Directors you can sign up for a place on the ballot.
Positions 5, 6, and 7, which are all two year terms, are on Township Board of Directors will be on the ballot on Nov. 5.
John McMullan, who has held the Position 5 seat since 2013, and Carol Stromatt who was elected in 2017, have both said they wonβt seek a new term. Ann Snyder, who was elected to the Position 6 seat in 2015, has not said if she intends to seek third term.

Those who wish to run for a seat on the Township board must meet certain requirements to serve. Those include:
- Being a citizen of the United States
- Officially reside in the state of Texas for 12 months prior to application for candidacy
- Official resident of The Woodlands Township for six months prior to the date of application for candidacy
- Must be at least 18-years old as of Nov. 5, 2019.
- Any person who has been convicted of a felony or is deemed by a medical professional to be have βmental incompetenceβ is prohibited from running for office.
Residents can come by the Township offices between July 20 and Aug 19, and fill out the application for a place on the ballot. The Township office is located at 2801 Technology Forest Boulevard, or click this link to download the application and fill out the application.
