Cold Front To Follow Record Heat In The Woodlands
NWS Houston predicts a week of record high temperatures to continue through Friday before a cold front brings winter back to The Woodlands.
THE WOODLANDS, TX β The city of Houston, Hobby Airport and Galveston each saw Dec. 28 record high temperatures Tuesday with Galveston posting a record high temperature for December at 82 degrees.
The National Weather Service Houston expects opportunities for record highs to continue in The Woodlands and the rest of southeast Texas through Friday before a cold front brings winter temperatures back to the area Saturday.
In The Woodlands, the high for Thursday is expected to reach 79 degrees with a high of 83 degrees Friday, according to Accuweather.

The cold front is expected to bring a massive drop in temperatures with a high of 84 degrees and a low of 32 degrees Saturday. The Sunday forecast calls for a high of 45 degrees and a low of 30 degrees, while temperatures between 40 and 57 degrees are expected Monday.
The cold front also brings an 80 percent chance of rain Saturday in The Woodlands, according to Accuweather.
