Conroe ISD Searching For Next Principal At The Woodlands HS

Conroe ISD plans to fill the vacancy of principal at The Woodlands High School after principal Gregg Colschen was promoted.

CONROE, TX — The promotion of The Woodlands High School principal Gregg Colschen to fill the role of assistant superintendent for secondary education earlier this month, means Conroe ISD will need someone to lead the Highlanders in 2018-2019.

Make no mistke though Conroe ISD is moving fast, and hopes to have a candidate in place by the middle of June.

“We don’t want this to linger open for an extended period of time, and I don’t believe it will. The Woodlands High is a coveted school; I’m sure we will have tons of people applying for this job,” Conroe ISD Trustees President Melanie Bush said.

Conroe ISD is looking for a candidate who understands the culture and who can and will continue the tradtion of excellence that Colschen demanded over his 16 years at The Woodlands High School, the Houston Chronicle reported.

The board announced the promotion a month after Dr. Curtis Null was named the new Conroe ISD Superintendent to replace the retiring Dr. Don Stockton.
