County To Host Civic Adventure Day At Kickerillo-Mischer Preserve

SPRING, TX -- Meet local elected officials and participate in outdoor recreational activities during Civic Adventure Day on Saturday, Sept. 29 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Kickerillo-Mischer Preserve.
Local elected officials, including Precinct 4 Commissioner R. Jack Cagle, and representatives with the Harris County Sheriffβs Office, the Harris County Flood Control District, the Harris County Public Library, Harris County Public Health, and the Harris County Fire Marshalβs Office will answer questions and share information about how their organization supports the community.

Firetrucks, food trucks, information booths, and activities such as archery, canoeing, crafts, dip netting, and fishing will also be available.
Attendees who participate in activities during the event can receive a learning passport and earn stamps for each completed activity.

Participating Scout groups may also complete activities to fulfill badge requirements. Anyone who completes all activities will get a Civic Adventure Day button.
The event is free and open to the public. Parking is available at CHI St. Lukeβs Health β The Vintage Hospital, located at 20171 Chasewood Park Drive in Houston, and Houston Northwest Baptist Church, located at 19911 SH 249 in Houston.
