The Dueitt Middle School Symphonic Band and Percussion Ensemble, invited to perform at the festival in Indianapolis.
SPRING, TX -- The Dueitt Middle School Symphonic Band and the Dueitt Middle School Percussion Ensemble have been invited to participate and perform at the Music for All National Festival at Indianapolis March 9-11.
Joe Clark, Spring ISD performing and visual arts director, said the students sent in recorded auditions nearly a year ago in hopes of qualifying for this honor.
βIβm incredibly proud and I couldnβt be happier about the progress that this group has made and the experiences they are about to have. This is yet another great achievement for our district fine arts program, our staff and our students,β said Clark.

Adding to the excitement, Richard Crain, a former music director at Spring ISD and namesake of the Richard C. Crain Fine Arts Building at Spring High School, personally stopped by the school to make the surprise announcement and present the students and their director with their invitation to the festival.
Presented by Yamaha, the Music for All National Festival showcases excellence in music performance and education for high school and middle school music programs. The festival is non-competitive and allows all students to participate in instrumental master classes with some of the nationβs top educators. While there, the Dueitt students will also benefit through interacting with other student groups from across the country.
