Police Arrest Magnolia Man With Bomb-Making Materials

MAGNOLIA, TX -- A Magnolia man, who investigators said was trying to create am improvised explosive device in his home, was arrested Wednesday morning.
Steven Vincent Gibson, 37, is charged with possessing explosive components and is being held in the Montgomery County Jail with bond set at $50,000.

The Montgomery County Sheriff's Office received at 911 call at about 1 a.m. Wednesday from residents inside a home in the 10000 block of Caddo Trail, who claimed Gibson was making a bomb, according to a Conroe Courier report.
Sheriff's deputies and members of the Montgomery County Fire Marshal's Office Bomb Squad, arrived at5 the home a short time later, and arrested Gibson and seized the materials from the home.

Gibson has previous convictions for possession of a controlled substance in 2014, and felony evading from Tomball Police in 2015.
He was on probation for the evading charge when he was arrested, officials said.
